Daniel Narducci Airiel Down

Airiel Down is a nationally touring, independent rock band based in Raleigh, NC. In the past 3 years, they have played over 300 shows in 20 states across the US and are gaining radio air time all over the world! Currently, they have released 2 albums, Vision and Shine, with Shine being the most recently recorded in 2008. Their music is often heard at Carolina Hurricanes games as well as NC State athletic events. The proceeds of this concert are benefiting the Carolina Fury Powerhockey Team of the NC Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association (NCEWHA). The NCEWHA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a quality hockey program for those who require the use of an electric wheelchair in daily life. The NCEWHA was founded in 2003 and is based in Pikeville, NC. All the proceeds from the concert will be used to help the Carolina Fury travel to the 2010 Powerhockey Cup Tournament in Toronto, Ontario in August. Known as one of the hardest working bands in the country, Airiel Down is looking forward to bringing their high energy show to the residents of Wayne County, while they support the NCEWHA.

Classic American baritone Daniel Narducci is a multi-faceted artist whose revered talents have been enjoyed throughout North America, Europe, and China. Since his debut with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, he has performed with countless opera companies, had his New York debut at Alice Tully Hall, and has been featured in several documentaries and programs on PBS and the BBC. An increasingly active recording artist, he recently created the role of Captain Hook in the world premiere of Leonard Bernstein's Peter Pan.

Four-time Grammy Award winner David Holt is dedicated to performing and preserving traditional American music and stories. Well known for his television and radio series, he is currently the host of public television’s Folkway’s. He has been a frequent guest on HeeHaw, Nashville Now and The Grand Ole Opry, and can also be seen in the popular film, O Brother Where Art Thou. David will be in the company of NC native Josh Goforth, an outstanding musician, acclaimed fiddler, guitar picker and mandolin player. Although only in his mid-20s, Josh has already established himself as a “one to watch” musician who is heading for the premier league. “With a striking virtuosity on a unique and diverse collection of instruments, ear-catching arrangements, and a repertoire of tunes that crosses cultures and centuries..” this pair “..keeps their music fresh, fun & fired up.”—Triangle Arts & Ent.
