SYNOPSIS
Shante is having a hard enough time dealing with the recent passing of her father & pastor, when her husband finds himself in a world of trouble. Meanwhile, it’s time once again for the annual all-state choir competition, in which her father has led the choir to victory for the past 3 years. As Shante assumes the responsibility of the choir, can she live up to everyone’s expectations? Trying to deal with the passing of her dad, her husband’s deadly dilemma and the choir competition, the last thing Shante needs is to have Kyle, her high school sweetheart reemerge on the scene after all these years, looking better than ever.
All the while Shante tries to put the pieces of her life’s puzzle together, she has to watch her mother Vanessa struggle to cope with the loss of her best friend and now assume the role as the new pastor of the church. But, have no fear! Vanessa’s hilariously crazy mother in-law: Mother Ida Mae Campbell has packed her bags and has moved into the Campbell residence for a while to look after her daughter-in-law & her grandbaby. Trust and believe… You don’t mess with Big Mama’s babies. Ida Mae says she came to keep the peace, but it seems the only way she knows how to keep the peace is by disturbing the peace! Can she and her comedic antics be enough to bring a house in turmoil together?
Shante has made a vow that she would never use her gifts for the world, but will she compromise and lower her standards for the one she truly loves? Even in the midst of hurt, confusion, betrayal and romance, Shante knows that she must choose who she will serve, but that’s easier said than done when you are simply… Torn between the Two!
