Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted miser who despises Christmas, until he is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of his former partner and three spirits who reveal his past, present, and possible future—transforming him into a man of compassion, generosity, and holiday spirit.
